Catherine Vesic

Registered Music Therapist

Catherine joins Music Beat Therapy Services with a diverse musical background, having studied classical voice, piano and musicianship from an early age. Catherine has a Master of Music Therapy through the University of Melbourne and an undergraduate degree in Health Science (Speech and Hearing) through the University of Sydney.

Catherine has worked as a Registered Music Therapist in private practice, supporting neurodiverse children and their families, as well as in preschools, hospital wards, government health facilities and nursing homes, both in Australia and internationally.

Catherine offers a tailored therapeutic learning experience that is person-centred, goal-oriented and resource focused.

She is particularly interested in neuroscience in relation to how our brains respond and react to musical experiences. Her holistic therapeutic approach helps the children, adults, carers and families she works with to reach their full potential in all domains of health and wellbeing.

Catherine is a passionate advocate for children and adults with disabilities or development difficulties. Whether it be working with clients in music therapy sessions, or her advocacy in the community, Catherine’s goal is to see that they are equally respected and valued as active members of society.

When she isn’t working, you will find Catherine at the beach or spending time with family and friends.
