Tara graduated with a Master of Music Therapy in 2010 from the University of Queensland. Since then, she has completed her Neurologic Music Therapy® institute training and subsequent fellowship in 2021. Tara also has studied and completed a Certificate IV in Small Business Management.

Tara works within several frameworks but predominantly works from a person-centred, strength- based, holistic model of care. She is passionate about working with the whole person, and working closely with families and support networks.

Over the last 14 years, Tara has worked diversely across clinical populations, working with participants and consumers across the age span with varying abilities, support needs and complex backgrounds. Clinical settings include acute paediatrics, early intervention and education, community family health, aged care, mental health, rehabilitation, and NDIS.

Currently, Tara heads up the Music Beat Therapy Services team as the Practice Manager and as an active clinician. When she’s not working, you’ll find her spending time with her family, at the beach, or (attempting) to learn how to cook at her parent’s Nepalese and Tibetan Restaurant.
